just back from lamping

just back in from lamping 3 more fox's fell to the 222 the first field we went to squeeked a cub over 500yds had to tap the door to stop her and down she went then 2 fields later there was a dog and vixen together cubs again and down they went and then rain stopped play

Good to see another .222 shooter, its not a dead calibre just yet!!

You are right SS..it's not dead yet..it is of course a decent calibre and has many uses..just like the Hornet :notworthy: ...but times, circumstances and situations move on...it almost makes you cry that it is a .222 Remington, and Remington no longer chamber any gun in .222 :no::cry::cry:

Well that's a novelty...they forgot to put that one in their 2008 Catalogue....OK Remington appear to chamber 1 gun in .222 :thumbs:

not got one myself but like the wee .222 my last headkeeper had one crackin wee gun

 

 

you lamp any ground local alan? i sometimes go out with my dad round hailes the bit around traprain law but ditched him now for the keeper thts training me up lol

just along the road i have a bit by tyneingham were are you keepering at a lot of the keepers know me i have arniston estate shooting ground
