Jef66 0
I'm looking at buying one of these in a weeks time ====>> Deben LEDray Tactical lights <<==== I hunt on my tod, so I dont have anyone to tote along a large lamp, also my weihrauch is quite heavy enuff without strapping a big ass lamp to the scope. Thought this would be an ideal solution. A 90m beam is more than far enuff I think. Lastly, is there any specific advantage to a coloured lens, apart from the fact red won't mess up my night vision. Deker 3,478
Reallity check.... 90 yards means 60-70 if you are lucky...put a red filter on it and it will go down to 20-30 probably. You may well say 30 odd yards is ok...well it might be if every bunny is 30 yards away but what about scanning around to find the ones 100-200 or more away and then stalking them..not a chance with this. Also remember there are plenty of nights when there is more than enough moonlight to shoot 20-30 yards easily without any lamp. The lamps that sit on your scope do not weigh much...probably less than this unit...the weight is in the battery pack which you carry on your belt/shoulder. Don't rush in..consider very carefully what you actually want from a lamping kit!!! Edited October 7, 2008 by Deker Quote Link to post

davyt63 1,845
hi jef66 my mate has one of these lights and they do just fine for air rifle distance.just remember to unscrew the cap fixed to the pad when not using it as he found out it will drain the battery once lent against something .good luck with your choice and let us know how you get on regards Davy Quote Link to post
Fidgety 8
Probably great for rats! Batteries are a bit pricey! My hunting bud has a logun lamp which is poor for rabbits, especially with the filter and bright nights. I have a Tracer mini, which is ok - you WILL find you need to scan around and also be able to see the animal, not just the eyes. Spend a few more quid for something more powerful IMHO. ukhunter 111
my mate got one last week and my other mate got a Madjack X-verminator lamp and i wasnt at all impressed with the performance of any of them the beam on the ledray was about 25 yards with the red filter on and as for the Madjack it gave out such a wide spread beam its was no good for F*** all i said to them you should go and get the little led light for Tesco as that would be better then any of the lamps you got there. so the next day one of my mates got the little light from Tesco The distance of the Tesco Light was amazing the spread was perfect and you could see easy + yards if not more i was amazed by this little light for £9.99 to be honest i was shocked!! it takes 2 x AA batteries and has a 3 watt Cree bulb in it, heres the thing it outperformed both on them by a long way Quote Link to post
