gazguildford 0 Posted October 7, 2008 Report Share Posted October 7, 2008 hi guys i couldnt decide wether to post this here or in the optics section but i feel it may have something to do with th re coil? i have my gamo cf-x and to be honest all the bad opinions on gamo's are just rubbish to me i think it is a great rifle..... anyway i have a hawke hd sport 3-9 x 40 fitted to it with hawke mounts luckily i always have it fitted right at the start of the scope rail due to my eyes and shooting position so i know exactly where to place it when it slips and it keeps my zero, my question is is there any limit to how tight you can tighten the mount to the rail if so how can i stop it slipping? its doing my head in now all help welcome thanks gaz Quote Link to post

SteveieP 0 Posted October 7, 2008 Report Share Posted October 7, 2008 Try a 1 piece mount or if you have room on the scope rail (& a bit of latitude to slide the scope back a bit within the mounts) you could try a scope arrestor block behind the rearmost mount. Quote Link to post
