lurchergrrl 1,441
I don't have much info on this one at the moment, all I know is a red brindle lurcher has been sighted at Cornfield in Burnley, very thin. Dog warden says she can't catch it .... If you have any information, ie you might know who this dog belongs to, please pm me. I will update when I hear more. But if this dog isn't caught by Friday I WILL BE GOING TO CORNFIELD TO SEARCH AND COULD USE SOME HELP PLEASE. Please pm if you have a couple of hours in the morning to help. Cheers. Guest ooty
Me too, my mate just rang and said it looks like it's been on the run for a long time, very very thin dont want to state the obvious but take some nice smelling meat like bacon or somting an a slip lead, once spotted dont try and chase it, try let the dog come to you,if it comes near be very slow in your movements and keep low with your back slightly turned away,in other word act like a pup does to an older dog,it may help, good luck.come up wind of him/her with the food so it gets the sent Edited October 7, 2008 by ooty
lurchergrrl 1,441
Cheers Oots, that's pretty much what I've got planned. Going to take some smelly treats and maybe use pilchards to get his attention as well. I've caught a few dogs in my day but not one who's been out on it's own for so long. He's hanging round a local farm and has been seen a few times over the last couple of weeks. Good job the farmer is nice. (Don't starts Oots I know how you feel about farmers ) This dog has apparently got some blue rope round it's neck as well.
