bedlington whippet

Recommended Posts

i am interested in this cross but dont know much about it

the reason for it is my mum wont let me keep lurchers becuase she dosent like the look of them :wallbash:

so ive seen a few of these crosses with curly bedlington coats (trying to fool her :whistling: )

just wondered how good they are in the field ?

what quarry would they tackle ?

and what are they like temperament and training ??

thanks

I have 3/4 whippet 1/4 beddy with a broken coat.

Its my first lurcher and its still young - so im not an expert.

But its an intelligent dog and is a quick learner - gets board quickly though. The whippet makes them more eager to please than a pure beddy. I have a full beddy as well its just over a year old now.

They both have a nice temperament and are nice about the house as long as they are exercised/worked.

Dont know what your looking for but if your mom doesnt want a big lurcher have you thought about getting a pure beddy? There are guys that take fox (in ireland) and rabbits in the bushes with one beddy-but you have to know what your doing as well. The beddy is a good bushing dog and has a good nose as well.
