No, not really enough info, tell us more......

ok here it is

i'm looking at the average thinking of hunting life, and the passion behind it all. yes we all can wright something that can get the forums going but dont take everything so serious. Im working on changing a destroyed industy that cant keep up with the laws, and you know how that keeps changing. mice in the attic posion them or trap them but posioning is the only way a pest control firm can do it unless profit and lack of business can let them visit daily. We shot 410 rabbits in 2 nights in the shetlands but the job was suposed to be over 10 nights. the sonic device was said to make you take the piss till the photos hit the forum, unlucky for me we only did two nights (weather) Mat the rat you give out good advice and obviously been in the game dont take it to heart. the book is with a irish proof reader the now and will be corrected. but seams the publishers dont like pest control in the field, and had one tell me they would publish if i expanded the chapters into books as they thought a handbook on field craft covering all was not a good idea. beats me

I'm all for new ideas!!!

Not sure the pest industry is destroyed, just has to move with the times.

id like to see not a apprenticeship but some kind of qalification entry. think if you went for a pest control job as a tech being fully qualified and the other person was not but would except a lower wage who gets the job. experiance and qualifications should make the industry demand you. look at cymag, banned the same way stricnine is and all because this ind can not show sustinability in use by technicians.

Well, if I was employing, I'd choose the one with common sense, aptitude and experience over someone with a qualification and little experience. As for the demise of Strychnine, so what? Nasty poison, just made me fine tune my trapping skills.

In an ideal world, you shouldnt be able to buy chemicals unless proved competent anyway.....sadly, you can.

 What? With the sonar gun?? How come this has not been published before then??? Sounds a bit far fetched to me, or is it another of Defra's Top Secret :secret: projects that no-one is supposed to know about . . . ??

I once shot 990 rabbits in one night with a .22 rimfire but that was hardly science fiction - just hard honest work
