whippet08 8
hi all, just a pic of my first ferreting trip,it was great, i netted up 10 holes sorounding a burrow my dog was sniffing around, sat down with my girlfriend and tryed my hardest to put the collar on one of my ferrets ,eventually slipping him under the net down the middle burrow, thinking hope that collar stays on,anyway stayed quiet then out his head poped from a burrow, minus a collar,of he went down again,oh well ill dig later for collar, i thought, then looked to my left, got one!,dispatched the rabbit and grabbed the ferret, poped him in his box, well pleased, now wheres that collar?. turned the locator on and eventually found the spot, 4 foot later got the collar, well there we go,my first trip, will be returning to have a real go,with collar tight! pic Quote Link to post

stubby 175
dont wait for the next ferreting trip, to try the collar again, if you put it on again while the ferts are in the hutch, if they can slip it, you dont need to dig, then put on again, but tighter, as richie says, if need be make more holes, its suprising how small you can get the collar down too, and not strangle the fert Quote Link to post
dpitman 0
well done mate Quote Link to post

scothunter 12,609
I have made new holes in both my collars, and as stubby said it is suprising how tight you can get them without causing the ferts discomfort. Quote Link to post
