Paul in North Lincs 15
moter......breeding is an exact science - shit can be bred from the best dogs.....................so I thing to talk about single and doubled up dogs in breeding plans is catagorising too much. - IMO to say you know of single handed dogs out of 2 doubled up dogs is really not that big a wank mate To try an elimate breeding shit, we go for proven worker to worker everytime, but it dont always work. J Darcy 5,871
But surely.....double up "Means" nothing....... And , further to that,..... do lads double up because they would rather have a "kill" even though it has said nothing of the dogs performance? Surely we are all in this to see dogs work, to see what a dog is capable of, on its own, without back up from others, in which ever sphere of our sport we participate in?.....JD Quote Link to post

Guest joe ox
Just buy a well bred dog from good stock and run it single double or however the hell you want. Quote Link to post

The dog has to have it in him/her to begin with. Doubled up does mean "NOTHING" Quote Link to post
sniper 30
well i would rather have a pup from single handed dogs But at a maximum two either for a pest fox, killing farmers game or bringing on a young dog...........but to a call a dog a fox dog it would have to do it single handed no matter what the situation.........but i would go for a pup out of two guaranteed single handed dogs no matter what the quarry you intend to hunt......fox.deer.hare. etc should make a good thread .......Sniper Quote Link to post
