I owned a half cross bull that I later sent up to Lucky off this site who would catch any deer you put him behind, so competent was he but any GOOD Saluki cross would've been better! It's all about breeding and technique...........plain and simple ! so what you are saying is that it is bred into them ,if the parents can do it the pups will when they are worked . Of course there are exceptions but if you were looking to buy a dog for deer then you'd surely want to make sure that the parents were both up to the job wouldn't you ? Quote Link to post

Are they any good? or would you have prefered another cross pre ban? boris b 1 Posted November 18, 2008 Report Share Posted November 18, 2008 I own bull cross's and I have had four species with them day/night , One struggles more than the other but thats down to breeding . One thing is for sure if all i wanted to do were deer i wouldnt get one . They are a good all round animal though depending on the size of breed some of the bigger lumps will struggle but thats not why you have them is it . Quote Link to post
