spindolero 1,111
Hi one of the lurchers we use gets out of breath very quickly. Even on a half hour walk he's panting. When working he works well, but is noticeably breathing harder than another dog thats out at same time. this dog had Parvo and recovered, he is in great nick now, but could it be a hangover from that (14 months ago) any advice? undisputed 1,664
Check up with vet required Parvo can leave serious side effects liver damage etc that can last long after the disease is gone. Best err on the side of caution

sandymere 8,263
There are lots and lots of reasons why one dog may get more SOB than others from breeding to current illness to cronic causes. If your not sure get your vet to listen to it's heart and a general MOT then act accordingly ie if it gets the all clear then maybe it's not got the stamina of the others or if there is a heart murmur or such like tailor exercise to ability. Good luck s.
