Irish Lurcher 1,013
Right lads, lets see the mode of transport you use to ferry your hounds about. I use this carrier box that sits on the tow bar.

skycat 6,173
Call me soft if you will, but I'd hate to transport my dogs in a little trailer or box attached to the rear of the vehicle. For one I'd be terrified of a vehicle running into the back of a flimsy unprotected box or trailer, not to mention the fact that it is bloody cold in winter in a metal box. Plus I like to be able to see my dogs at all times and know they are alright, especially on a long journey. I'm aware that if you have one family saloon type car and don't want the dogs messing it up then it must be difficult to do otherwise, but it wouldn't be for me. If one car is all you have then why not get an estate and cage off the back for the dogs? Just my opinion.

Would love to cage it off, but when you drive a taxi its not fair on my customers, smell of dog is sort of a put off, dont you think. Forgot to add, just bought this. I share the use of one with my mother though, when we go out ferreting, we put the dogs in a box in the boot.

Missie 1
I'm with Skycat on this one, I like to be able to keep an eye on my dogs when they are in the car for all sorts of reasons. I wouldn't feel comfortable transporting them in a trailer, especially with some of the arseholes on the roads. Apparently my car has a sign on it requesting that people try and kiss my towbar... And no, I don't drive slowly...
