I once got a Bedlington whippet from a guy, he had no phone and I had to make arrangements with via his mother who he phoned occasionally – anyway when I got there he was nowhere to be seen so I looked around found the litter, picked a pup and left a note and the money. He rang me to wish me well and said he had planned to give me a luck penny. Pity I didn’t wait, as the dog broke out one night and got hit by a car before I got a chance to hunt with it.

I’m considering of ordering a pup off Mike Brown next year. Did you pay a deposit I think he asks for £10 to hold over a pup? Has anyone else had a bad experience with Mike?
