Mods sort a FAC related topic in "Important topics"

Recommended Posts

I'm sure I'm not the only one who's been thinking this but I'm getting sick of all the topics getting posted asking questions about FAC's all the time, as it comes up so often why don't we have a "Important Topics" for FAC related questions?

I'm not having a go at anyone but the forum tends to get flooded with this type of topic and ends up going stale.

A note to all you newbies try using the SEARCH tab in the nav which should be located in the top right corner of your screen before posting a topic.

You'll still have people asking, as no one likes paperwork and people like the reassurance of having their own case heard out by those who have gone before them. Though I do believe one of our industrious members is working on a few bits and bobs to be pinned in this section ;) No point me doing it since I don't live in the UK :D

Do you two not get what I'm on about? I just think that in the "Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns" forum at the top where it says IMPORTANT TOPICS there should be a topic for FAC related questions.

Riggers I might be a newbee on this site but I've held a FAC for years, but in the past and to date any questions I've had concerning my ticket are answered by my local FA Office, thats what he's there for.

I agree with your sentiments mate, but it wouldn't make much difference. There's a wealth of knowledge pinned in the airgun & ferret sections, as well as plenty of info in the back pages, but the same old questions still get asked time & time again.

i understand what you are saying, but when you click on the forum section you can scroll down..ie i have no interest in driven shoots so i never read or click on anything about that topic.....surely this format is great?? and the wealth of knowledge or at least opinions is worth its weight in gold.....if i want to know somthing im not going to bother browsing pages and pages of stuff when i can just post and get a fast fresh response..... :icon_eek:

Depends on if you're going to be shooting elephants at 300 yards or charging rhinos in thick cover doesn't it.

Im not trying to be funny here and in no way want to start an argument, but just try typing FAC in the search box and see what you get ?

I am a recent FAC holder, and know the frustrations and anxieties that applicants can be feeling.

Cheers
