Guest markbrick1
well had a walk last night, took the gun and thought we would concentrate on some lamped hares, and roe later on in the mornin, bloody hell lurchers make good gun dogs ,anyway we were on the land of flint were its ment to be so much harder on the dogs over the yrs ive done a few hares not loads but a few i have never made myself out as a coursing man just a rabbit chaser who somtimes wants to test the animals on other things, but i can tell anybody the hares we flushed last night were as hard as daylight hares anywere ive been, cat got 5 lady 2 and scout and lady 1 on a accidental double,on the roe front i was glad to see a good dog in action on flushing these critters holdind a couple and lady did ok on these as well had a really nice host and iam sure pics will follow we had a top night ingood company and to walk out with such a respectable person is a privelage, but lamped hares are bloody hard down here, mark Quote Link to post

thurso jack 3
well done mark, tbh on big land it makes hares easier at night, but in small paddocks or hilly land imo they are harder as often the make for the cover or next field or over a hill and there lost, yet the dog is still more than capable of more, but they have made there escape, whereas in the daylight it may not be so easy for them to do so!
