Headshot08 36
Just a quick question i have been looking at some of those U.S guns and they are looking VERY smart and extreamly cheap. Does anyone know a site where you can import air rifles into the uk? Steve Quote Link to post
Timelord 0
In short the answer will be NO unless you are a licensed gun smith/dealer etc. If you are not one of these then go to your gun shop and pop the question to them Quote Link to post
Timelord 0
After 9 11 and the tight gun laws in this country you'll be very lucky if your request is granted Quote Link to post
Headshot08 36
Is odd because if you go on some sites and say order the air rifle on the billing forms Uk comes up and says how much it would be to send it here and everything? would it acually come to my door? or would customs F**K me? Jef66 0
Far as I know it's illegal to buy air rifles by post.... period now. sales all have to be face to face. Quote Link to post
Headshot08 36
Yes but it still happens..like most things.. just a thought because they have much nicer rifles at cheaper prices:( Would just be nice to know if anyone has done this? Steve Quote Link to post

Steve Well most if not all companies will take your money via the Internet or in a shop and I suppose it's down to you in the sense that you are prepared to lose your money if it gets seized by customs. I've brought loads of naughty things off the Internet and I'm sure that others here have too. I won't condone what you may be about to do, but if you feel the risk is worth it the good luck mate Quote Link to post

Thunderbelly 7
Is it ilegal to receive air guns as a gift, in the post (we call it mail)? There may be a loop hole. Or is it ilegal for me to mail your gift ( an airgun) from Canada to you? Ok here is one link to a shop fairly close to me http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/s..._10151_-1_10001 Another one is "the bow shop" there are a few more if anyone wants the links Edited September 29, 2008 by Thunderbelly Quote Link to post

Thunderbelly 7
Ya, we are legislated, but I can walk down the street with my shotgun over my shoulder, my hound on her leash and walk over to crown land and start hunting. In season of course Quote Link to post

Thunderbelly 7
wow I was under the impression your laws were a lot tighter than that. Our guns must be sleeved from 30 minutes after sunset, untill 30 minutes before sunrise, unless in a house. Quote Link to post

In the UK we must keep our shot guns and firearms in a steel police aproved case, they must be sleeved and unloaded at all times in transit until you reach your shooting permission. Air rifles that reach over 12ft/lb come into the firearms category and the laws are much more strict. Hand guns are banned fullstop due to some nutter in Scotland (Dunblane) shooting kids up in a playground As for air rifles well as long as kids with hoodies and baseball caps don't keep taking them out on the streets to impress their friends and shooting the local moggy (cat), then we should be able to continue in this wonderful sport...
