There's got to be some pretty large big Pussy's roaming around the UK :hmm:! thick in fur with dribbling glistening lips ready to slay any man that enter their domain... :guitar: ....

Nothing that a decent plank of wood and some hammer and nails wouldn't sort out :whistling:...

Here puss puss puss!

Personally, I can't see it. I've plenty of pals who live in Africa on huge farms - circa 10000 hectares, and they know if they have a problem cat within days, so my view is that if that's the case in their natural habitat, then over here I'd expect them to use a bit more cunning and would expect to see them in the towns and cities like foxes - they all prefer an easy meal to a hard one!

We don't get sightings of Pantherus in Peckham, so I'm a disbeliever - sorry!

Adult Pumas have territory from 12-18 sq miles dependant upon quarry-density,which cat has several hundred miles of territory

Adult Eurasian Lynx & its even more than i thought, funny enough :whistling:

Check it out

How big is a lynx territory?

Size ranges from about 25 to 2,000 sq km according to habitat quality and prey availability. A male's territory typically encompasses a couple of female territories (to monopolise the females for mating).

Check out these videos ( theres a couple on here ) & see what you think?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/insideout/yorkslincs/...sightings.shtml

It could well be feral dogs that are attacking & eating the animals ( ie farmers sheep etc ) but we still dont have any evidence of even the feral dogs doing this so until someone comes up with diffinitive proof its just going to go on like this.

Heres a question, if you found the territory of a wild big cat would you tell anyone if you were regulary seeing him/her with cubs etc because you know the minute you tell or show people your real evidence you know the shite going to hit the fan, with wannabe hunters etc & the dozy general public, it would not be long before a big accident? now think of the people who have dedicated alot of time to finding these animals, what kind of answer do you think they would give???? its an interesting one no matter how you look at it.

We have the same sightings in the Carse Of Gowrie, Perthshire.

In fact, a guy turned up on one of my permissions, knocking on a farmers door, on foot, claimimg to be sent by the SAS to find and kill 'Big Cats' .Needless to say the Cammo king was sent on his way........ (Sunday Morning at 7.00 am) allways a good time to knock on a farmers door.

Needless to say it was added to my list of 'if you see it, kill it's'.

Never seen it, nor has the farmer......

Haven't seen the cat either.....

Mackem, your right they did not say that, but the majority of people ask me if my American Bulldog is a Lab? I have even been told he is a white rottweiller, Generally the majority of the public sadly have no clue about animals & nature & thats why the environment is the way it is today as most are not in tune with nature ( theres my little deep hippy part lol )

Also a quick one to the point made about if they were out there farmers in africa know etc, well alot of the farmers here are the ones complaining about the big cats so they are recognising there is some sort of cat problem & in parts of asia like india, & venezuala & south america where there are jaguar they have a real hard time spotting them & alot of locals never see them fullstop unless in a zoo.

I agree though mackem its a hard one & unless you truely see one youself you wont believe, its like alot of the pics in the news etc just look to me like pet cats but like others said previously about pet/feral cats breeding etc & there are alot of 40 pound size domestic cats that could go feral, there could be so many answers to it & all we can do is speculate, buts its interesting to say the least.

But to think there are not animals out there ( even in the Uk ) that are not known/or known to live here would be a mistake. Dont ya think?
