Whether it's vermin or not, posted by a hunter or not, the only point worth considering is that it is needless, cruel and shows a complete lack of respect.

You want to kill something? Fine. Crack on and do a proper job, not "play" with it.

For me it marks out the difference between real hunters, and those unfortunates who lack the brain power to show compassion and a decent level of respect to animals. They can never be what they aspire most to.

I find that pathetic.

Freddy, you were right the first time, this topic is the perfect illustration that "hunters" don't give a damn. And actually all that we spout in the name of protecting our way of life, is lies. We are not gaurdians of the countryside. We do not care for anything beyond ourselves, and a bit of animal abuse is funny.

Whats the weather like up on your moral high ground?

We all refer to them as "Tree rats" and in my opinion are no better than rats. However i have seen Rats being dispatched in some cruel bizzare ways and were fine with that.(not all i add) but majority dont give a f**k as long as they are gotten rid. Also as someone pointed out those little tree rats can withstand a bit of punishment.I actually think maiking a connection between this vid and hunters in general is just ridiculous!

I agree scot. there is nowt wrong with this video and I dont see how it gives us a bad name? after all its not hunters which are doing it. and even if we laugh at it I bet we laugh a damn site less than some of the chav kids which dont know where milk comes from. we all have a right to our opinions but it wont go down well with someone looking down thier nose at us. WE ARE ALL HUNTERS SO WHY DO WE HAVE TO DISAGREE ABOUT EVERYTHING. I dont understand why we are all against each others views when if we all stuck together as one then perhaps there wouldnt be a hunting with dog ban etc. and why is there a pet fox in your piccy LMFAO

It's sunny thanks

I don't give a flying tree rat what "your fine with" thanks Scot. I'm stating what I am "not fine with".

It is a hunter who posted the topic here, it is "hunters" who find it so amusing...there's the link.

I've killed plenty of rats and I've killed a few squirrels. I DO care how I do it, and if that puts me on the moral high ground, I guess it's something I'll have to learn to live with  ...can't see me changing my ways now in the name of a quick laugh.

Oh it's not a pet fox Will, I capture them and then fire them out of cannons, I find it funny and I haven't got the nonce to hunt one properly ;):D

sweet. but seriously why do you have a pet fox? i think that lets the side down more than laughing at a squirrel being flown through the air...

Hello.

Reality check!

It gives us a bad name because HUNTERS find it 'hilarious'.

And hunters. like all other groups, consist of individuals with differing life views, intelligence, tolerance of idiots. If there's ever a proposal to license the killing of rabbits and other vermin, you just watch the PCO's bugger off wih an 'I'm all right Jack' attitude.

But i agree with one thing.....the problem isn't just 'us and them' it's also 'us and us'. And the reaction to this vid is an excellent example of that.

If it all goes tits up, I haven't got into hunting yet. I'll just carry on with my life as normal. That ain't the case with a lot on here.
