Wasn't so long ago Ian just said 'f**k it' and closed the site due to all the bickering, I don't know why he still bothers TBH. It's a shame though, there's still a load of genuinely decent folk on here ,otherwise I wouldn't even bother logging on..

was some good lads on here a lot got deleted over little comments and a lot just gave the site best i dont think some of the mods bother to much .. look at some of the recent terrier show threads and the running comp ones ,, some lads come on promote the big terrier shows and running events ,, post up on every running comp thread then come hunting season you dont get a single post .. i remember reading ditchs posts always entertaining one sat night some young un named wilton if i remember right came on rippin the shit within a few days ditch had gone ... i stay on coz thr is a few good lads on here and you do get the odd decent thread now and again and in the hope it will get better.. maybe thats it mate - i`ve retired the terriers now even from shows .. makes you wonder whr the future of terrierwork lies and how long before its demise ...

this is the result of a dig in a sandy sett at about 3ft. we dug to my russell for the first time to this vixen baying inches from its face. this is one of my mates pictured with the fox and dogs

to answer your question i'll ask you another; who in their right mind puts threads up these days about their terriers on a dig unless they are with a hunt?

as for the thread, why would i look at the age of it ?

and ive never seen a dog as clean as that after a dig in sandy soil and i havent seen such a shallow dig in sandy soil either.

i ask a QUESTION hoping for an answer not this bullshit witch-hunt

get a grip on yourselves.

also as a final note; my own terrier will earn his reputation in the field WHERE IT COUNTS not on the internet.

what does it matter if you are with a hunt or not ?? its perfectly legal to work your terriers to fox as long as you have written permission ,for the protection of livestock & gamebirds you dont block any holes you despatch the fox as soon as possible with a gun ,as for the pic well welldone to the lad i say

when you are 1 or 2 people who go out with your dogs, its easier for you to be singled out by antis.

at least with a hunt you have a multitude of witnesses to vouch for you if antis or arsepca try to bring you to court.

posting topics + pics about your days dig isnt the smartest course of action.

I'd say your gonna get more trouble if your WITH a hunt - cos then everyone knows where, when and what your doing. I could go out stark bollock naked right now singing 'i'm off to dig a foxy' with a shovel over my shoulder and a terrier under my arm, and as long as i'm not shooting my mouth off and folk dont see me. . . . . how exactly am i going to get done? Whereas if i am 'known' as a digging bloke, dress, act, speak like one, show off my terriers, make lots of friends in the digging world and work with a hunt thats being monitered by antis . . . . . i'm gonna get f****d.

 

 

P.S - maybe he washed the dog? He DOES have dirty knees!
