Out Pugging Today

Rang the farmer up to let him know we would be down for a spot of pugging this Saturday and he then broke the bad news to me, Mixy was taking its toll and there were dead rabbits scattered all over the orchard. Undeterred we thought we would give a few of the hedgerows a bash, we had my whippet cross Ted out with us today and apart from being a right pain in the bottom he pull a couple of rabbits out of the hat and redeemed himself for his bad behaviour. We ferreted sets were normally we would expect to get good number's from, but instead only one's and two's bolted. Total bag was seven hard earned rabbits. :piggy:

bad luck, mixi must take more over there than it does here, the rabbits usualy dont die for about 3-4 mounths or peopel poison them before mixi has a chance.

Our rabbits are probably more concentrated in numbers so the disease spreads faster, damp weather may be a factor too.
