samwhittam1 0
I have heard of people modifying the Crosman King Ratcatcher and make them alot more power full and so on. I was wondering if anyone knows what to do to make a difference to the gun and the cheapest way. Thanks Sam. Edited September 28, 2008 by samwhittam1 Quote Link to post

Timelord 0
It's the King Ratcatcher you really want not the ordinary one as the ordinary one puts out just about 6ft/lb these days, the older ones used to put out 9ft/lb. The king Ratcatcher puts out just over 10ft/lb and is a very capable hunter on rats and ferrals etc. With rabbits you should stick with 20-25 yards and no more with head shots only. I find my King Ratcatcher very useful in barns and sheds with ferrals etc to minimise any possible damage to the farmers property.. Have a look here at my mini review of the King Ratcatcher Quote Link to post

Ratman2 2
By far the best mod you can do with a Crosman Ratcatcher is, GET RID OF IT.Rob Hey Rob, where you been fella? ....aren't you a mod on a Crosman forum somewhere....? I was, and probably still am!!. A good mate of mine got one of those King Ratcatcher things and started the forum, He asked me to be a mod, it seemed a good idea at the time. But on reflection the very best thing you can do with a Crosman is GET RID OF IT, or better still don't buy one. I've never owned a Crosman but I have a couple of Chinese things, an XS78 and XS79, I tuned the 79 and for a short time it was a bloody good gun, but gas leaks and other problems set in, the 78 was just as bad. My advice is save up a bit longer and get a decent PCP. Rob.......being honest. Quote Link to post

Headshot08 36
With a standard ratty i have taken many a rat , pigeon and rabbit dont listen to these others, if you want a good cheap mod put a rabbitstopper barrel on it and try it then should boost the power right up:) without using more gas:P Steve Quote Link to post
