TOMO 26,810
mark let me just say , lamping staminar and coursing staminar are two very very very difrent things, dont get me wrong there are a few animals that can perform at both. but MOST cannot . mark i wish you well in this and i suppose credit is due for you taking on this challange, and as you say you cant realy loose because evry one expects cat to loose , and she will . there are not many little lamping dogs that will run none stop on a hare in the way a purpose bred coursing dog will, at some point they will stop and watch the quarry go in to the distance. any way good luck TOMO Quote Link to post
brock 11
good luck with your lamping bitch mark, but i have to be honest, salisbury plain is a world apart from the fens,we used to course there regular(bit flinty for my liking).people dont seem to realise just how good a winter fenland hare can be,and can make the best of hare dogs look silly never mind lamping dogs.and stamina over a night 0n 40 rabbits is totally different to stamina needed to run continuously for 3-5 mins a time, horeses for courses in my opinion.just watch your not cutting of your nose to spite your face.you could easilly ruin a good all round bitch by running her on hares on the fen in winter Quote Link to post
