Damp/Condensation?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Im just wandering if anyone has had problems with damp/condensation when using metal containers for storage?

I know older shipping containers are used widely not just by shoots but by anyone needing cheap readilly available storage. Just wandering if damp is a problem?

Thanks

Will

howdy WILL, what do you keep in the container, i think it could be, when the sun is banging down its gonna be like an oven in there, then at nite, it condenses, if its your container try drilling a hole and put a vent in(like the ones you get on the top of vans) you just need some airflow mate and don't lave wet gear inside  JACK

I have two 20' metal shipping containers and condesation will always be a problem if any thing damp is put in to them as they heat up and cool down so much. You can either put a dehumidifier in it or line it with some insulation this will sort it. What are you using them for?
