undisputed 1,664
Now I've never tried this, so I don't know whether it works or not, but I was talking to a friend a couple of days ago who's having the same problem, and they were just about to go out and piddle at the place where he was coming in!! I've heard it for moles before as well. Maybe this is just something strange people from Devon do... I don't know whether it makes a difference if you're a woman or a man, the badger deterrant person was a bloke and the person piddling down mole holes was an old lady... Don't shoot me down!!! I'm just the messenger!!! might be a bit of truth in that mate,a old keeper friend of mine used to say any bad earths where you could nt dig, pee around the holes and what ever was in them wont be there for long! cheers N Dont know about badgers but the smell of OAP's pish would certainly deter me Better still why not tie an OAP to the fence that would work....just hose them down once a day to get rid of the smell Edited September 25, 2008 by undisputed
KimXL 0
KIMXL YOU SOUND LIKE A BIG BOY TO ME ,IM SURE A CUDDLY LITTLE BROCK WOULDN,T SCARE YOU , OR ARE YOU ON THE SITE LOOKING SOME BARBARIC REPLYS . Indeed i am a 'big boy' (thanks) and certainly not scared of my nightly intruder. and in answer to your Q, no not looking for and barbaric replys at all, i just dont want the fence trashed and the holes used by foxes, which i then have to despatch when i get the opportunity. thanks for all the suggestions, the fence will be repaired again and some (not the spreading of sh_te) will be taken up, alas not a keen photographer so snapping them not really my bag. Works best after eating peanuts or some other food that contains sesame seeds. Edited September 25, 2008 by GD Waz

topdogs 0
Does anyone know a good way to keep badgers out of your garden. I seem to have a very determined nightly visitor who is trashing my fence every night despite repeatedly repairing the fence. I'm sure its not a fox, as it has moved paving slabs and broken through a wooden fence several times. The local fox polulation then use the holes to get in. I have a few chickens so not a good mix! any advice? Go out and buy a chocolate patterdale and a bull x and have sum fun !
