nice looking dog , i like bull terriers but there's no way that the modern show dogs type if fit for purpose , it's the same for many breeds actually . i do show but i also like my dogs old fasioned and able to do the job they were bred for ( if required ), not to just look nice in the ring.

Well said if more people who showed had your view the kc breeds may still be functional and less freaky disney type :big_boss:

my family use to have one like the white one above. he was of the older style and his head didnt look out of place like the ones of today. everwhere i use to go people asked if he was a cross because of his shape. he wasnt he was just a older style. i will see if i can dig some pictures out of him

one of the lads on here gave me a picture taken 1910 of a english bull with a local breeder i will try and get it on here :thumbs:

if you are looking for a good old type english bull go and see lyndon hes on here some where hes got the proper old type and they are spot on and lyndon is a good chap but dont tell him i said so :boogie:
