What a difference a year makes

Pulled My Gos a while back but for some reason she was down in weight from the aviary! she was loseing weight continuously and also shitting brown, I put it down to Coccidosis after having one bird already down with this one this year already, anyway she was treated for it and now eating like a good one and gaining weight all the time :boogie:.....

She came out of the aviary 2lb 7 1/2 but kept dropping even though her appertite was good, last year she was taken up around the 2lb 11 mark. she is now back upto 2lb 9 today and still very steady feeding and jumping to the fist no problem, she's also back in the swing with the Hood too which I'm also really pleased about. I'm now looking to get some weight off her and get her loose again soon...

This is just a few picture's of her in her first year as a brown bird and now nice and clean moulted in her Greys :)....

looking good mate

Good one SS! we'll have to make a date out sometime in the season

Beautiful bird mate. Really good looker.

Im hoping to get back at it with next years young ones, and with pics like that it doesnt half put you in the mood.

What is her flying weight proper?

Nice one Trappa! she was doing well at 2lb 6 last year and was very Obedient from long distances at that weight even though I never got out as often as I should, some weeks I was only flying her perhaps twice at the most :icon_eek:, I had a lot going on last year and Unfortunately its pretty much the same this year with moving and whatever.....

She was bred from a 12 year old Hungarian female I have here which belongs to Chris Soans!! she's not a big girl and tops out around 2lb 8, I think Chris flew her around the 2lb 2 mark at the start. I have been banging Finnish semen into her for the last three years and they have produced some lovely sensible birds with good Temperaments, the Mother to Millets bird also produces some nice sensible birds which also seem to lack alot of spookiness associated with some P/R Gos's although they all still have their moments

nice looking bird tony, what drugs did you give her for Coccidosis? always worried about it, if your flying the gos now that means you have a spare lump of a peregrine wanting to be flown :whistling: i can come pick her up anytime after the second week in october.

all the best Chris.

Baycox did the trick mate! I treat her and then again a week later .

she's a cracker mate but Unfortunately back in the aviary. I took her to the stage of feeding on the fist and jumping to the fist but couldn't be arsed with going out and doing the Lure work to get her lose! she's a sweetheart with the Hood too..

Its another year of Bollox I have had to attend too so I packed up before I started, thankfully Derek got intouch with a Breeder who now wants her to force Inseminate! so off she goes .......

She's looking in good nick now mate and you have done a good job of getting her back from death's door.. i cant wait to see her fly again soon.. :boogie: ..

Millet

I must admit mate the way she was dropping when eating and then hit the stage if flicking food was a worry, she came down to 2lb 4 1/2 before stabilizing after the treatment and thankfully up she went again, she's down Half ounce today from yesterday so things are now moving in the right direction ....

I've heard of a good few cases of Coxy in birds this year and the last! mainly with Peregrines...
