J Darcy 5,871
You are just So lucky! My moneys on it definately being a Staggy, female, but it could be "Lesser" and we wouldnt know from the photo... I remember seeing my first male Staggy whirling past me one evening whilst i ate a roast chicken dinner in France.....the noise was remarkable.... After wards on the road leading from my camp site i found one dead , i still have it somewhere...... I wish they were more common......A great find mate and thanks for sharing the photos...JD

I was on a garage forecourt in Wales. I can only describe it as like a small motor bike going past my ear!! Unfortunately it banged into the kiosk window and hit the ground. I picked it up and put it on top of a oil cabinet, hope it came round and flew off?? Only seen a couple since, so they must be fairly rare?

mackem 26,255
Yeah, probably,I havent seen one for 2 or 3 weeks, though I havent deliberately sought them out,but its not unusual to walk down the avenue and see a number of large males on the pavement.
