Australian Bred Greyhounds

took the dogs for a walk before............and saw the fella who has greyhounds and he said he has an ozzie bred grey and their a great line to a start a lurcher off....puzzled i said to him why are they better then normal greys he then replied to me because these grey's have collie blood in them generations back....just wondering how ture this actually was?

Think the guy is telling stories never heard anything like that before, how many generations back does he recon? If you wanna go years and years back then you can say all english greyhounds have bull in them

All greyhounds are related in 12/13 generations and if the collie is that far back then the effect it has is going to be negligible to say the least, a lot of British and Irish bred greyhounds now contain the blood of imported Australian sires and Dams the same as most of the Australian lines carry the blood of British and Irish lines and more and more carry US lines the greyhound industry is Global and good bloodlines soon find their way around the world 8)

as a ek kennel hand ans still austrailan (and loving it ) there isnt anny diffrnt way of breeding a grey hound, it's all doggy style lol. but i know thay are verry good fighters with anny thing, had to put a dog down cus it's mate bit it when it wasnt wearing a muzzel, amby a bit more fight donno. :hmm:
