Meerihunter 7
Thanks again for all the comments everyone always look forward to your posts merri, lovly clean bunnys again . you should have entered the lamping comp. would have been nice to see a pure run. by the way if your at work early in the morning and your worried about not getting enough sleep cos of lamping late. do it the other way , and get up at 4 am it gives you 2 hour lamping befor work , and if ya go to bed at 10 you will have had 6 hour sleep She would take some heap on the right ground as she'll run all night, her retrieving would'nt be up to scratch tho. well done mate, good catch pleased to see the bitch. well done. You'll have to get up sometime, it would be good to have look out with you again. Tidy looking bitch and a good bag ,how biddable is she? She does as she's told no issues there, I do have to be firm with her though as she a firey wee bitch. For the most part I don't need to ask any thing of her as she will figure it out for herself. good bag mate got a saluki my self hes not bad on the lamp he gets all the time Hows yours bred? Any pics? Quote Link to post

Meerihunter 7
you must have some realy nice land, every time i read a post about your dogs wether thay are ferreting or lamping, you always fill the back of thr car :notworthy: I'm lucky there is no shortage of rabbits here thats for sure, some areas are easier to get good results than others. It does'nt always result big bags though, sometimes conditions are good and the dogs or ferrets work well, then we get good bags. Quote Link to post

Meerihunter 7
Thanks Miles, Clipper. by the way if your at work early in the morning and your worried about not getting enough sleep cos of lamping late. do it the other way , and get up at 4 am it gives you 2 hour lamping befor work , and if ya go to bed at 10 you will have had 6 hour sleep Forget to reply to you on this Tomo, I have worked it this way in the past. I also has the advantage of one or two runs on other things (of course in conjunction with a gun or BOP) before most folk are out of their beds. On the night in question however I would of missed the wind as it tailed off around 12ish. Quote Link to post
Meerihunter 7
Hi Silverpaws, I've only had one accidental litter, I would of like to of waited a till Ameerah was a tested a bit more but there you go. So I would'nt call myself a breeder but I do like the saluki and would'nt have anything else outside of the eastern sighthounds types. Quote Link to post

Meerihunter 7
If it is'nt there you can't catch it, doesn't mean anything really plenty of nights I've only 5-6 up here when conditions are so good. When I was down in northumberland you might walk all night for 1 rabbit. Quote Link to post

Paul in North Lincs 15
..................fantastic haul where are you hiding the long net???? LOL LOL Quote Link to post
Meerihunter 7
I'm busted lol I don't think the 2 25yds long nets I use for ferreting would be much use but I am planning on getting a 100yd net with night use in mind, but to be honest I think the dogs will be more effective.
