mark what you are doing is no way normal mate....not saying its wrong just not normal...we have been taking reasonably big numbers off 700 acres twice a week and now we are seeing a reduction (will have to save a few for your visit).........im not sure if your dogs are kept peaked all year round whether they will break down?? i guess that there arnt very many as dedicated as you so it will interesting to see what happens to the dogs..... :notworthy::whistling::notworthy:

Is it the black one that my bitch is up against in the comp?

Mark wont mind me say this as he knows i like the way his little bitch is running this season......but if i were running any of mine up against that Black bitch, Id steer clear of competing directly and trying to give my dog the long energy sapping runs, that this black bitch does daily..... and stick to the short dashes ;)....the daft squatters.....the clueless rabbits!!

Not all rabbits have to be taken in style on the run.....and if your dog isnt afraid of plucking game from cover, bouncing off banks or snatching rabbits from burries mouths......you'll do ok :).........dont take the first rabbit you see either, theres always a nice one sitting tight when the other canny ones make quickly for cover :icon_redface:

Feck me, even Flyn can catch a few!! :whistling:

Good luck to you both.....its gonna be interesting, which ever way it pans out :whistling: .......i am just itching to see the north south divide get up close and personal :big_boss:

Thanks alot mate, my bitch is a bullx so she probably hasn't got the lungs and speed that marks has but then again rabbits aren't her favourites.

Not really expecting to win against his dog but I think she will give a good account of herself.

She isn't as heavy as some bullx's and has bags of early pace and is very nimble.

Can't imagine he will have any squatters down there by the time the comp is here the amount of times he is out on the same land.

well impressed mark, some bunnies there!! envious. don't get out as often as i would like at moment due to circumstances. but was really up for it last week when some 'soft' northerner who has a reputation for being an enthusiastic hunter blew me off because his mrs thought that he may be 'over doing it in his condition'. and i thought northern blokes were as hard as nails and wore the trousers.
