Had a bloke about twenty telling me he shot a duck Mallard [ie female]this Summer because it couldn't fly properly,it had 7 youngsters with it, new on the water.I think there are getting to be more twats about with guns than ever,.It won't be long before they ban all shooting with p****s,like these about.Magwitch and I took a young lad out pugging Saturday ,he was keen and asked all the right questions,,we showed him how to set purse nets, kill a rabbit in the long net ,how to thumb out the urine ,and generally behave in the countryside when you are on permission,he is around 14 ,and a pleasure to have out with you ,hopefully we have sowed some seeds there and he won't ever behave like the prats that started this thread.Inan.

To The mods, for the sake of the site, I think it would be fitting if this thread was deleted. I don't know the lads involved but they could get into trouble. I hope they learn from this.

I left it up, for the simple reason that deleating it wont educate these fellows one little bit, but them reading the replies might, if they want to pm me direct asking for it to be removed, I'll do so

I think you've got your wires crossed. There is no season for rabbits.

The season for shooting pheasants is October 1st to February 1st. That's the law.

maybe before going out "HUNTING" again, both you and your mate should take the time to read up on what you can or cant hunt reguarding seasons, and also whats classed as vermin, and can therefore be taken all year round

also all of the members who have replied to this, are only trying to educate you on the rightway rather than the wrong way to hunt, maybe rather than getting your back up and trying to reply smugly, you should take heed and advice
