skycat 6,173
Very frequent seasons (every 3 or 4 months) can mean that they have cystic ovaries: might be an idea to get the vet to check it out if you suspect a problem.
shaddow 166
the bitch in question is 6 yrs old , last time she came in season she was a bit early , she should have come in end of july/august , but she came in season in early june...so i lined her with a dog , but dog was on old chap and subsequntly the bitch didnt fall pregnant , but i put that down to the dog as failed to produce with another 2 bitches that were lined a week or two before mine...anyway my mother noticed blood near my bitches bed about a week ago and i couldnt see where it had came from , but yesterday i noticded blood in the usual place and shes dripping a bit more heavier now , so it seems as shes came back in season... skycat 6,173
Is the blood normal in season colour blood? If it is very dark, almost black, or has a bad smell to it then suspect an infection. Bitches which get a pyometra (uterine infection) usually do so after they have been in season, though I'd have though if she did have this she would have got it a bit sooner after her season. You could always get her scanned at the vet if you are at all worried, as a uterine infection normally shows up on an ultra sound scan. Might not be a bad idea to get her checked over anyway. Almateus 2
my bitch came in every 3 months ( great Dane ), we decided to spey her as she was barley getting over her season before she was in again. bitche's can also have split seasons where they come in stop then start again, but usually in young bitches or first seasones etc.. shaddow 166
had her to the vets and shes fine , she is in season and is ready to stand this weekend
jamestwo 0
she might need a litter to sort her seasons out i would use two different dogs if wanting pups that are proven in work and stud the worst that can happen is split litter.you will also know if bitch is at fault . I have a 14 month old bitch who had her first season at 10 months old (this July) however, it now seems that she is coming into season again, just 3 months later. Is this something I should be concerned about.....??
TOPPER 1,809
if you keep more than one bitch or your bitch is around others that are in season this can bring them in to season early them again when there due we suffered quiet a bit last year with this , it nearly drove us mad as there always seemed to be one in season and the dogs were going mad and nearly drove me to it
