sounder 9 Posted September 21, 2008 Report Share Posted September 21, 2008 well lads as some of ye know sporting shooter is on abit of a hunting trip over to me he has a post up of the first nite out with a bag of 8 foxes picked,tonite we went out for a run with bing for this site and sounder jnr,we got ready bing drove my jeep i lamped ss on the trigger with the .243 again we drove around some farms, on the first one no sign of anything on the way in turned inside on the the way out i spotted one ss jump into action bang!!!!first one in the bag well so i taught on another look to my left another one, ss again bang !! no 2 as i went to pick them up i could not find the first one as it must have made the cover behind him, it was 200 yards out ,as we drove on to another farm that bing knew we went up a old road i spotted a fox way out 1000 yrds out or so, bing gave afew calls and like a light he ran in as we looked at it as it came in another fox came in from the left but stop and stayed in the cover, so we keeped on the other one at about 150 yrds it stoped bang!! fox fell dead as i looked around the another fox up on the hill he was still comeing in took the same line down the field and stopped at the fox that was just shot,bang !!!! down he went side by side they layed,as we had a chat about the way they came in, a spark caught my eye looked again a fox heading out of the cover i called ss THERE HE IS as he creep away he look back afew time till ss got a clear shot, a head shot put the bag at 5 dead and 4 picked up three in one field was nice going as we had sounder jnr with us we call it anite and head home for tea, ss had to laugh as i spotted a cat in a field and jnr shouted to him GIVE IT TO HIM !!! GOD HE MAD , so two nite lamping he has 12 foxes picked so far and another 3 to 4 not picked but very well dead , a great shot this ss lad cheers bing and jnr for your help tonite Quote Link to post
