pencoed hunter 7
what is a mixi rabbit? myxamitosis is a disease, was natural to our rabbits american counterparts the cottontails which only gave them a minor illness, someone brought it over here and released it to our rabbits on purpose and the results of it are devastating, its passed in a variety of ways and in the 50's destroyed the idea of eating rabbit which had for a long time been the staple meat of the uk (which is now chicken i believe) it kills the animal slowly, robbing it of its senses and causes pain and suffering, the rabbits eyes go all gooey, the anus and genitals can become swollen, the rabbits muscle rots away, you end up with a feeble bag of bones which cant run from any predator. luckily though nature gives animals the power to adapt and many more are surviving nowadays and breeding passing on a resistance to it. ye my dad just told me about it can u feed it to ur ferrets if u catch 1 my dad said no coz the disease might go to the ferrets? mattydski 560
I am surprised you guys are not seeing more. I have shot maybe half a dozen this year already. We have had it quite wet though. Easily identified on my lamped permissions, as being the only thing sitting still with a lightforce in their face. I have shot everything i've seen, and disposed of the corpses. Haven't seen anything this week. Matt Quote Link to post
