how do i no

i will proabably sound stupid but this is my first terrier,she is 14 month old,when i go to a couple of earths i no she is straight down them,and is sometimes in them for 10 ,15 min ,she has bolted one fox cub,but i have never showed her anything cos i thought she was to young,how do i no if she is looking for the right thing...

I'm fairly certain he's not trying to be 'smarmy' matey.

 

There is a bit of sense in that as the dog will be following instinct and you trying to learn or interpret what the dog is doing.

 

If you can't follow someone and are finding it difficult to gain any experience, try reading as much about terrier work as possible, this way you can make up your own mind and also decide what you want to do with your dog.

 

At the same time you will no doubt be showing your dog as much as possible and as you have said, it seams to be off to a flyer without even knowing it.

 

Good luck and be patient with your dg and your self.
