Kye 77
I REALY like the Beddie x Greyhound...if you can get a male that goes 23-24 1/2" they are belters imo... The best fox dog i ever seen was a Beddie/Grey X'ed to a 3/4 Grey 1/4 Bull....i seen it take two roe, a hare, in the morning, and it drew and killed two foxs in the afternoon with terriers...it marked the foxs to ground also...it was taken out lamping that night and took 8 rabbits and done everything but kill a REALY, REALY big fox!...If i was in the UK i would have a dog liek that in a heart beat...real nice type!...the said dog was brindle, slightly broken coat, and was 26"...dont know what it weighed, but i would have guessed 60lbs? Kye,.. Royston on here has a BELTER of a Beddie X grey...if she was 3-4" taller she would be mental!... Put some pics up Royst...love that little dog!.. Quote Link to post

Guest midnight_runner
There are numerous posts about crosses of lurchers on here and some very good ones at that, early / mid Autumn I will be ready for a lurcher pup in your OPINION what cross would be best for me for the work described. I want a daytime fox dog to work with the terriers, hunting up marking catching bolters, moorland / rocks / and a real mixture of land A daytime/Nightime Deer tracking/Fox dog. Not fussed about hares but rabbits will be on the list. I will need something that is able to hunt on its own initiative and something with a bit of brain, not a quarrelsome breed. I have seen some real shit over the last twelve months and have been racking my brains as to what dog to choose. I have worked a Pointer x Saluki/Grey for the past five years and he is irreplacable however a gear short on some game, I love the wheaton cross but would like a 3/4 grey 1/4 wheaton, as I have only read about this cross I wouldn't know where to start. Or would I go for a beddy mix ??? I'm lost. YIS Dillon a greyhound bedlinton xdeerhoundx : greyhound would be my personal choice Quote Link to post
Tarmac 1
if you can find one from spot on parents then a Saluki/grey X a wheaton greyhound Diesel has a pup on at the moment of this cross- from 2 very proven dogs- should be a belter for allround use! Quote Link to post
