thehunter69 1 Posted September 18, 2008 Report Share Posted September 18, 2008 Hi all, I am pretty new to hunting and thinking about buying some long net very soon, I am unsure of what size nets to buy with this been my first time using them I no they come in all different sizes etc, shold I be buying a say 27 yarder and and 50 yarder to start off with???????? also is there a nack to folding or rolling them up to stop them getting tangled up?? shit questions but i am just unsure . cheers folks Quote Link to post

What i meen is this. If your only going to net a small warren whilst ferreting then theres no point in buying hundreds of yrds of netting when a pair of short 25yrds will do the job. same as if your wanting to work a large woodside edge at night then 2x 25yrds of netting will be a bit of a waste of time, imo so like ive said, firstly have a good think about your needs Quote Link to post
stubby 175 Posted September 19, 2008 Report Share Posted September 19, 2008 it would be wise to get yourself a longnetting dvd first to watch, as you dont "roll the net up" but gather it up on the end pins, unless of course you want a quicket longnet, it which case its loaded into a basket, Quote Link to post
