What is this gun?

My uncle gave me this air rifle when he was clearing out his garage, all he told me that he had changed the spring to a very powerfull one.

 

I have searched all over and i have found a gun called a B-3 that looks the same but my uncle has had this gun over 15 years.

 

Also does anyone know if then how i could get a scope rail engraved for a scope.

give that man a cigar! i bought one from sports marketing in colcherster many moons ago, used it for a couple of weeks, took it apart then threw it in the bin!

some of them are ok and some are very very bad!

Yea its the top gun lol, ive looked on the smk website and it does look simalar but its over 15 years old and still working great.

 

The B-3F has a diffrent stock, diffrent under-lever and my gun doesnt have a scope rail.

 

I've killed more rabbits with that, than the ratcatcher.

 

I could do with a scope fitting tho...

no it's definitely not a meteor,i've had meteors and mercury's,been out with lads who had Airsporters,if

i'm not mistaken i would say it's a Chinese Lion,was sold by mail order a lot in certain magazines,i could be wrong but i bet there's a few airgun lads on here who could indentify it,

Right ok. I was just curious about the make my biggest concern is if some would be able to tell me if then how i could get a scope fitted because its got no scope rail.

there was a sidelever rifle out at the same time that had no safety ratchet to stop the bear trap effect, i'm not certain whether these have one or not so when you cock the rifle, please keep hold of the cocking lever as if it doesn't have the safety it could cost you some fingers

 

as for a scope rail, these weren't designed to take a scope and it would possibly take an engineer to mark out the cylinder, drill and tap it and screw a dovetailed piece of steel on

 

it would probably be a bit of a job to do

Dont be silly, there is no skill involved in drilling and tapping. Anyway you can always send it off to a gun shop and most will engrave a weaver rail into your gun.
