a spur of the moment trip bunny bashing round the works and wasteland sore me shocked. i set up an ambushing point that i normally use while their as their is realy gud cover from all sides .i settled down with rifle cocked and loaded whaiting for mr fluffy tail to cum out to graze .when i saw a flash of white past my crosshairs and again and again .i thort i was going mad. this flash i kept seeing was geting closser and closer .it was a ferret i couldent belive it so i put the gun away and had a gud look round to see where its owner was .their was no one to be seen. as this isent a place that cud be ferreted easily if at all.so i went back to my ambushing point to see if it was their. i got out the binos and it was it was geting closer and closer.i cud see it dident have a finder coller on so i was stumped ..even more so because this place is well out of the way for it to be a pet aswell. .so i packed up and went home.just wonderd what you guys have seen thats weird

This ones not a dog or a shooting story but hunting or wildlife one non the less. a Got back home after a night out with the dogs, sat in me chair and just opened a tinny when that bloody house fly was up to it again . my beddy cross had almost jumped through the window trying to catch it but to no avail never caught nowt all day. when a huge house spider crawlled around the chimney brest next to the ceiling. it waved its leg around and around and the most amazing thing happened next, the fly flew across the room straight next to the spider! and the spider just stepped over the fly and caught it. i, was just gobbed smacked....all the time walking over fields and being amazed by all that wild live in our fantastic country and you get that in your own home.. Yes i,ve heard the one before about armchair hunters but anyone wintnessed it before?....Talking about dogs though I was up on the east coast of scotland, up on Dunichan Hill near Letham trying to catch rabbits . We were absolutly starvin and skint as usuall after spending all our money at the letham festival. when we took our dogs out we had big billy with his dog seem to remember it was a straight grey/collie and fleck took bully out. i had me 3/4 deerhound cross out . bully went first and caught rabbit after rabbit first time i,d come across a bull /grey cross this was in some twenty years ago and i,d never come across the type. muscular as hell he was straight pit crossed with a grey large head but greyhound body and fast as xxxx strong willed dog and stopped at nothing. (i later witnessed him dragging a young red over asix foot fence after letting him out for a pee in the morning) and had a good haul of rabbits .billy was next and slipped his dog as we sat on the hill looking down as the Picts had done 2000 years before. bang bang bang another great haul his dog picked them up for fun. me last slipped me dog dalwhinnie caught absolutly nothing so much for me fantastic dog i never shut up about. laughter and mucho pee taking yer dog got bugger all ha ha ha.... feeling dejected my fantastic noble hound of the scottish kings would not come back, i had to walk about 700 metres to get her back meself. wheni got up to her she had her nose down a rabbit hole when she pulled her nose out she had a twenty quid note stuck to the end of it.. I could not belive it miles from anywhere and down a rabbit hole? . i walked back with me useless scottish hound of the kings and said your dogs just got a couple of dead rabbits look [bANNED TEXT] mine caught ha ha ha.... twenty minutes later that pint never tasted so good.......strange but true remember it like yesterday but some twenty years ago . the dog went on to fill many a pot and introduced me to my wife and the dog went on to live 16 years.. ah the magical scottish deerhound...Fantastic.
