Deker 3,478
good shooting! not trying to sound like an anti (hate them) personally i dont agree with going out and shooting great numbers unless you are going to put them to good use or sell them. sorry for the anti moment You are obviously not in the vermin control business then!!! There is business and sport...do not confuse the two!!! Quote Link to post
camgun 0
good shooting! not trying to sound like an anti (hate them) personally i dont agree with going out and shooting great numbers unless you are going to put them to good use or sell them. sorry for the anti moment We do this for the parish council who are incharge of the land, it is pest control and all the rabbits are used for food, my mate used a shotgun before he asked me to come along. Most of the rabbits he then wasted due to damage to the meat now I shoot the in the head he stops me when we get enough. I have had a rimfire for 20 years now doing various farms, estates, paddocks and gardens all with the view of controling the pests for the customer, show them you are doing the job they will recommend you to others, dont bother and you lose it. Even if they are half grown or full of young the job has to be done. We have only been out twice in the last 3 weeks so we limit the amount we shoot and they still havent finished cutting the crops on the farms by the end of the year we will be mass murderers Quote Link to post
camgun 0
I see what you mean , there is enjoyment in the job but first I get the serious bit out of the way clearing the bulk of rabbits as everybody knows if a farmer/landowner watches 20 rabbits run in off his stubble or paddock that will become 60 by the time he picks the phone up to gives you a bollocking . I have my enjoyment in the morning when I stalk at first light even if I get 5 or 6 I enjoy that sometimes more than 30 or 40 at night because of the challenge in the stalk and use of fieldcraft as I have said before in other posts its the best part of the day. Cheers Quote Link to post
Guest JohnGalway
Good collection of bunnies there Don't think there are that many all together on my bit, not sure what's happened to them but they're no longer in the neighbourhood. Quote Link to post
