sanglier 2
We got a new permision this week and went there for the first time tonight. Its a waste transfare station  The owner locked us in at 5.30 and said he would return at 9.30 to let us out. Me and brother split up, he was 50 or so yards away to my right. The first hour or so was slow but we had 3 magpies before they realised what was happening. As the light faded we started to see more rats, and I could hear bro taking quite a few shots. We had said earlier that we would keep an accurate account of definate kills because we wouldn't be able to collect them up. As it got darker the place came alive. It seemed like I was taking a shot every minute or so, and keeping count. Bro came back over at 9.00 with a tally of 51 and I had 58. 109 rats. The owner returned at 9.30 to let us out and couldn't believe his eyes. There where bodies everywhere, he was a very happy chap. His final words where "when are you coming again". We told him could think probably fit him in again soon Best 4 hrs shooting I've ever had Quote Link to post

The one 8,511
Thats a fair few rats well done Quote Link to post
sanglier 2
We would have had more but the owner came to let us out. There where still plenty but we had to stop. Like Davy said, I wish I could photograph them cos I would love to see that many rats in a pile. Maybe I will try to collect some up next time. Its difficult cos when you shoot them they kick about and end up falling further into the pile of waste they are rumaging in and I don't fancy searching for dead rats in it  Might go back again this week. Deker 3,478
That's good going, rats are very twitchy and nervous and can be a lot harder to take than many people think...they can also be a bit quick!! Quote Link to post
