New toy arrived this morning

well i sold out and decided to buy the B+F set up. I had the money so thought id get the best i could afford.

 

First impressions are good, the transmitter was a little bigger than i had expceted but it sits well on my bitch. Collar looks a good strong type aswell. Only had a quick mess about with the box searching for the transmitter on the living room floor but it seems easy enough to use. Will mess about with it on the dog later on though.

 

I shall get some photos up later hopefully of it on my bitch.

Money well spent nog.When you using it if your following the arrows but the numbers are going up turn 180' and go opposite way,the numbers should then go down and your heading in the right direction.

Waz, i found that little trick out whilst having a play, the arrows do seem a bit misleading and id have to agree with Donnie, following the numbers does seem easier! But still, its early days yet

yea just use numbers mate it is a great collar.have heard bout water problems just keep it dry and check seal.had one prob myself collar packed up on a dig last year fortunately got dog out old way.changed battery been ok since but red indicator did not come up.

Was told by BF last year when i bought mine that they were bringing out a smaller collar sometime about now, if it passed field tests..?? Not that ive had any trouble with the old one but it is a big old fella..

Yes ive since found that if you turn the fecker on before you turn your dog in its a lot easier to find :oops:

haha i nearly done exaclty that this morning, il put it down to nerves and excitement.

I wouldnt put the magnet on a belt loop,seen a lad take the collar of a young dog who came out and put it on an old dog and it turned off,the only thing that we think that could of happened was the magnet touched the collar while transfering it,glad to say found the dog the old feshioned way.

never had any problems with water getting in the collar is it a common problem with b and f then also couldnt the collar be bitten through pretty easily
