mole catcher 1
right .............after a bit of searching ive came up with a figure of 270meters and that is debens 1kg draw cord but id imagine most draw cord is about the same weight so i should easy have enough for the job get in so if anyone asks, you now know the answer dowt anyone will ask tho Ive just seen this post, At a guess i would have thought a few things such as twine diameter, cored or coreless would all dictate how much twine you get for a 1kg spool, just a thought Quote Link to post

The one 8,533
Theres 3mm draw cord but 2mm seems the most popular and if you want to be really tight there 1.2mm mate you could do a survey and get back to us Quote Link to post

Guest on the hill
one detail that i cant find anyone talking about is how the middle poles are attached!! am i to understand that the draw cord is wraped arround the pole once and tied with nylon twine? i am going to cut some notches in the poles if this is the case!! stubby 175
middle poles use a clove hitch Quote Link to post
woodga 170
you have him worried now stubby a clove hitch on your head and foot lines attached to your poles about 8 yrds apart get a few pictures as you do it and stick them up to show the finished job good luck anyway Quote Link to post
Guest on the hill
ok will get some pics up, thanks for the advise all, i went down to the footie pitches 5 mins ago and the councill worker said that the small pitch is about 100 yards so i wraped me draw cord round it and quickly realised i should have enough left for a 50foot net if i desired  sooo lookin good so far Quote Link to post
