great fun that, used to dig over the road to where i live when i was a wee lad.....where they used to dump all the old gear from the local mansion. Also another place at Tilbury by the Thames, i've seen guys dig all sorts out of there an old victorian bottle dump of sorts, some amazing porcelin dolls heads, plates & figures

The land bordering some of my permission is a victorian bottle dump. The mounds are full of warrens, and the rabbits dig most of the bottles out for you.I haven't a clue what the bottles are but ive got a few here ive picked up when out with the dogs.

i wanted to look for bottels but didnt have a clue on where to start lookinh for the old bottle dumps, i tried the libairy and have asked some of the old locals but nothing so where would i start and what do i look out for ?????.

all the ones we go on are near old houses usually victorian, theres usually always fox or rabbit holes on them as its easy digging for them, just look for black ash with bits of old broken glass or bottles in.
