sniper 30
This is just going to be peoples opinions and evrybody is entitled to their say. but like BigRedBusa Says the real Mcoy bullx has to be the pitbullx. Quote Link to post
Daveo 61
How many types of collie are there? Does it really matter? Collie Xs is a collie x. And bull x is bull cross untill you start being specific. your saying that unless a certain type of bull terrier is used to creat a lurcher its not a bull cross, which is wrong. Quote Link to post
Guest smashygadge
so what where saying here is the bull x is the bull x because it cant be spoke about in any other way . or given the name as in staff x ebt x etc like the shop wouldnt clip my dogs nails because they didnt take that type of dog lol missus was most confused lol Quote Link to post
kirstysdad 827
interresting this one hard to find the real mccoy now some lads still keeping thier own lines going as for a staffx they dont realy add to well to the mix because of their smaller size and shape can make a good cross to a whippet for smaller work if you can find any still working as for staff to greyhound this was done at start of 20th century to give more drive to the greyhound and every racing greyhound has that in their blood ie one of the promentant colours in greyhounds is brindle but when this was dolne the staff of the day was a different animal to todays dogs as for the name bullx only being used for a certain type of bullx i totaly agree one reason being if you advertise a bullx people know what you mean and you are not leaving yourself open to strife a staffx should say that and a masstiffx should say that every one will know what you mean Quote Link to post
Guest smashygadge
even tho we are talking pits when did the staffordshire just take the name staffordshire bull instead of the old name stafforshire pit bull of which they were Quote Link to post
stej 0
even tho we are talking pits when did the staffordshire just take the name staffordshire bull instead of the old name stafforshire pit bull of which they were RIGHT COME ON LADS,I HAVE A BULL CROSS (THE MCCOY AS YOU LOT CALL IT BUT PEOPLE ONLY USED PITS BECAUSE THEY WERE RENOWNED FOR FIGHTING AND HARDNESS,BUT YOU CAN MARK MY WORDS A STAFF IS ANYTHING AS GAME AS A PIT,PIT CROSSES ARE JUST A FASHION STATEMENT NOW,WITH LADS WALKING ROUND LIKE THEY HAVE CARPETS UNDER THERE ARMS SAYING (LOOK AT ME I HAVE A BULL CROSS (THEY ONLY HAVE THEM BECAUSE THEY LOOK HARD)BUT I DONT I THINK IF YOU HAVE THE RIGHT BULL YOU HAVE A MACHINE ON YOUR HANDS,BUT THAT DOES NOT MEAN A PIT,IT COULD BE A STAFF AN EBT OR ANY BULL,SO THERE IS NO REAL MCCOY! Guest joe ox
American staff = American pit bull terrier the early ones where dual registered as both. Quote Link to post
J Darcy 5,871
Well Chaps, i know of a Staffy/greyhound and if you saw it you wouldnt be arguing the toss..... Its had more tackle than alot of lads dogs and there isnt a jib in it.... Still working at an old age too..... Quote Link to post

kreet 0
im with busa here and to be fair the real apbt puts alot more into the mix than a fasion stamp and anyone who has any experience with the breed will know this you get pit's that are extremly sporty shaped and to be frank 90% of people couldnt identify one in a line up with bully lookin staffs. the real bullx's are a completly diffrent animal than any staff cross you will ever see !! Guest bigredbusa
i will remember in future that the patterdale / border / jrt / lakey etc are in fact all the same (terriers) lol afterall all bulls must be capable of doin the same job just as well as others . well you learn something new everyday lol Quote Link to post
Guest Taffybull
right i think the books should be rewritten in what is classed as what as a lot of people seem to class fake bullx's as the real mc'coy . A staffy x grey is not a bullx mastiff x grey is not a fecking bullx ebt x grey once again is not a fecking bullx who agrees and who doesnt . now this will be intresting as i have known of only one proper type of bullx . i think they should be called ie : ebtx or staffx let the shite fly 110% with you on that mate! spot f****n on.. Guest bigredbusa
ok let me put this to you . when you see a swastika what do you see? a symbol of peace (that is what it is afterall) or do you see it as it's first association ( a nazi symbol) , 99% will see it as a nazi symbol . the first association of a bullx is ... well you guessed it .... a proper one yes they may have used staff or ebt but why didnt they see the test of time ? because something better came along , something that hasnt been tampered with by the KC , something that was born to do the job correctly . now im not knocking any of the bull 'type' breeds i just think we should name them as what they are .
