trappa 518
Landed myself some massive permission today, long story but we are talking thousands of acres of quality land and its only 20 mins away. Had a look up this morning and shot 30+ rabbits plus about half that again that were sat at the warren holes and managed to die underground. ( ive got to get the numbers down asap so i need to shoot on sight as soon as i see one, ethically wrong but horses for courses) There are hundreds of rabbits, seriously, so it looks like its rabbit pie for some time to come! I usually charge £12-15 an hour for my time, or a pound a rabbit, but there is a story behind the permission so as long as i get my petrol payed for im ok. My shooting is getting better and better, hitting heads at 50-60 yards 9 times out of 10. Will the lad from boro who contacted me about having a look out get back in touch, ive forgotten your namr , but if you want to tag along with your rimmy your more than welcome, as long as your ok about doing a bit of ferreting as well. trappa 518
It couldnt have come at a better time actually. Ive just been to florida for my hols (lucky there as well-we went with xl airways , came back on the monday they went bust 2 days later) but the last farm i got permission on, the one ive been geting loads of rabbits on lately, has been ravaged by mixy. I got there at 8.50 this morning and the farmers dad said that theyve all got mixy. i thought he was exagurating but i was home for 10!! i shot 4 rabbits, thats all. Didnt realise it could hit so hard!, just under 3 weeks was all it took and its like the proverbial ghost town! Quote Link to post
