First dig to 'Gypsy'

Recommended Posts

Out with my mate this morning checking a few spots with the small dogs as my lurcher is lame so lamping was off the cards last night, that turned out to be a blessing in disguise as we managed to put a fox up out of a big patch of nettles on the side of a bank by a lake which ran nicely into a one holer!

I had the terrier running loose with the collar on and she followed over and dropped in, perfect for the young bitch. Heard contact be made and I ran back to the motor for the nets, gun and spade.

She had settled at 1.1 so we started down to her, nice and steady away, no barking just grunting. We broke through after 10 - 15 mins and the bitch looked up at us, me mate said 'she's killed this', we opened up and cleared round and let the bitch through and she got hold of the fox. Me mate reached down and the fox was stone dead, no need for the gun! Absolutely ideal for the young bitch, hopefully there willl be more to come.
