nice one spar :clapper: i take it you dont work your bird with ferrets then :drink:

 

No need really plenty of feather about for the FHH, I leave the rabbits for my spar :blink:

might give it ago this season with the ferrets when the birds have killed 80k of head ;)

how long did it take your harris get used to the hood?

 

Some take to it like water off a ducks back and some are hood shy but all in all she took about a week when I picked her up at 22 weeks then after the moult the hood was back on from day 1

No nor was I, No ferrets, no dogs just me and my birds and about 20 pairs of boots by the end of the season.

The rabbits around this way are just to easy for a fit harris, well any bird for that matter I like feather. Its great later on in the season went the estate next to my flying ground starts giving the gamebirds some hammer, pheasants and partridge everywhere and Im not talking 5-10 partridges in a covey Im talking 500-1000 is crazy mate. I would hate to think what it would be like if I had the time to hopper feed or something like that

It was the head shape and size that gave it away for me more than the tail :hmm:, its saying weasel to me I must admit, Mind you there's plenty of Weasels in this game :guitar: ...

 

This is the only pic I have of a dead stoat which is stoatly different ;) ....
