Catapult help.

Recommended Posts

Hi guys and gals, my wife managed to get me a couple of nice old Milbro catapults today at a car boot sale.

They have their wooden collets in place which is a bonus.

My problem is how do I thread the elastic through the holes with the collets?

There must be a trick to it but I have never done it before so don't want to cock it up and break anything.

Any advice much appreciated.

i took the wodden bits out mate then tied a bit of string about an inch down the elastic each side and pulled it through both eyes and just put a couple of pins through to hold it in.couldnt manage to do it with the wooden bits.

There was a few posts of peoples set ups on here with how they elasticated there milbro style cattys. Try seaching for milbro - should bring something up.

Nothing much under that search, but I think I'll just do away with the collets as suggested.

Many thanks, Mike.
