Jamie's first time out, hope you enjoyed it shame it was cut short. Not sure what the final body count was, about 12 rabbits were in the bag when I left. stubby 175 Posted September 13, 2008 Report Share Posted September 13, 2008 was a good half day's ferreting, in excellent company, rabbits totalled 15 at the final count, with some really good action at the end of the session, with pat's ted accound for a good 6 or so, that were in the adjoining field, one of my young'uns "boston" an albino hob, bolted a medium sized rabbit, so I think he's getting the idea of it, although the owner had been round with the tractor/grass cutter and done a 3ft strip around the warrens, it was still overgrown in places, which means you cant relax as much, Im also on the look out for a mk1 knocker box, to use in conjunction with the mk3, as much as I like the mk3, if the ferts moving underground, it gets a bit confusing, thanks to both richie and magwitch Quote Link to post
richie 1 Posted September 13, 2008 Report Share Posted September 13, 2008 cheers for the invite today steve.... good to get out with you & pat again. we had a gooden today, with a constant flow of bolters, & ted done well chasing them into the longnet from that seperate warren.. a few shots from today.. ted marking a hole from the moment we arrived... we ended up taking 3 bolters from this warren & dug down 2 foot to pull another one out... few more... towards the end of the day we had another position marked, we ended digging down 3 foot where a ferret was located still for 5 minutes, broke through to the tunnel but couldnt see a thing.. after a while steve fell asleep ! ended up with a decent sized bag & a lot of action with bolters into the net..
