alright lads i live in argyllshire and i am planning to procure a wee russell to do the dens,im willing to travel the lengh of the country if need be to get the best lines, any pointers troops.

Alright mate?

This isn't an advert - merely an answer to your question:

My mate has some great russells, but it depends what your cup of tea is? They're not 10" show dogs... one bitch went 14" at the shoulder and won a great many championships around the UK as well as spending nigh on every weekend down to hard graft for the 11 years of her working life. She died last week after a three hour dig in a hard place.

He still has her daughter and some other relations of that bitch, and they're all down mostly from Gould/Jones stock. He doesn't breed much, but when he does they're worth their weight in gold imho. He sells pups for between £60 and 200 depending on how much he's paid for the stud and how many pups are whelped.

Here's a couple of shots for the eleven year old bitch (smooth) and one of the other younger bitches (rough). You'd barely think she'd seen any action looking those pics (unless you have a keen eye) but believe me she did it all.

I'm not trying to sell you owt (like I said no pups on the ground at the moment - possibly this spring/summer?) - but I don't ever mind fondly remembering a good old dog when she's gone.

RIP Rags :no::cry:

If you're interested in belling him for a chat drop me a PM and I'll send you his number next time I'm online (can't promise it'll be before another week but like I said he's not got pups on the ground atm anyway).

Cheers,

Lee :good:

Oh by the way, the guy is in Merseyside (about 30 mins away from Liverpool).

Hi Seamus, I can make a couple of calls for you, I'm not home until Wednesday, but I know a few lads who only keep working stock. I'm in Lanarkshire, lads I know range from central Scotland to North east England.

Let me know, or pm if you want.

Stevie

I've got the working Bitch(broken) and hopefully mating with a Hunt Sire from Huntsman270, which should produce an excellent litter. :good:

They'll be £100 to working homes.(admitingly £250 gen pub)

Bitch can be seen working anytime.

Have to say, she's never been to a show.

Regards Rob
